Travelers who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 are no longer required to present a negative PCR test on arrival. Travelers will be required to present a valid vaccination certificate with a QR code on arrival, which will be subject to verification. The only accepted vaccines are those approved by the United Republic of Tanzania and the World Health Organisation.
Travelers who are unvaccinated, or not fully vaccinated, are required to show a negative PCR test on arrival. The test is to be obtained no more than 72 hours prior to departure for Tanzania. Unvaccinated travelers originating from countries listed here moh.go or at points of entry will also be required to take a rapid antigen test on arrival, at their own cost. The cost is currently USD10 per person. If the result is positive, a PCR test will be performed and the traveler will need to self-isolate until the results are available.
